Microdermabrasion Stimulates Cell Regeneration For a Healthier Glow

It’s been compared to removing the delicate layer of an onion to reveal the smooth and supple layer underneath. Microdermabrasion, now available at The Spa at the Health and Wellness Center, gently yet effectively exfoliates the top layer of the skin, stimulating cell regeneration.

During a microdermabrasion treatment, a wand-like applicator is maneuvered across the skin, creating a light suction while simultaneously releasing a steady stream of fine crystals. It’s a safe, convenient, and effective way to treat the cosmetic consequences of sun damage, acne scars, fine lines, age spots, and uneven skin tones.

Amber Connors, director of The Spa, has seen a marked increase in interest in this service in recent months. “Every microdermabrasion treatment at The Spa is performed in conjunction with a facial, and the treatment is followed by a gentle spray infusion of liquefied, bioavailable oxygen onto the skin,” she explains. “This enriches the skin with nutrients and boosts cell regeneration.” The result is more youthful-looking skin that feels smoother, fresher, and rejuvenated.

If you’d like more information about microdermabrasion and other skin care services offered by The Spa, just call 215-918-5950.
