Reacts to sounds
Cooing
Responds to voices, watches while
you speak
Six to 12 months:
Makes some repetitive sounds
Babbles
May begin nonsense speech with
tone and inflection
Uses gestures
12 to 18 months
Acts on simple requests
Employs basic gestures like nodding,
pointing
Says several simple words like
mama, dada, uh-oh
Attempts to mimic words |
