Healthy Cooking Starts with Smart Shopping
|
| |
Read nutrition labels. Look for low levels of
saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium.
Buy fat-free and low-fat milk and
dairy products.
Choose chicken and turkey, which
have less fat than other meats.
Look for lean cuts of beef and pork,
such as round, loin or leg.
Buy fish fillets, then bread and bake
them yourself. Coatings on prepared
fish sticks add to their fat content.
Fruits and vegetables make
healthy snacks. |
