For many cancer patients, participating in a clinical trial is a way to access advanced treatments that might prolong their lives. It is also a great way to help future generations of cancer patients.

Doylestown Hospital is currently enrolling patients in a trial to see if a certain drug (bevacizumab), when combined with chemotherapy, is more effective than chemotherapy alone in treating non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Currently, only 15 percent of patients with this type of lung cancer reach a five-year survival rate.
In this trial, qualified patients whose stage IB, II or IIIA NSCLC have been completely removed by surgery will receive chemotherapy alone or bevacizumab and chemotherapy for up to a year.
For more information about this trial or other trials, please call the Doylestown Hospital Cancer Center at 215-345-2378 or visit www.dh.org.
