Blueberry Peach Crisp Desert, apple crisp

The combination of blueberries, peaches and walnuts makes this dessert great for the heart. Blueberries have one of the highest antioxidant capacities of any food, peaches add even more antioxidants. Walnuts offer heart healthy omega-3 fats. All of this in one tasty crisp!

Yield: 6 servings

  • 4 medium peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 Tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup Honey Nut ClustersŪ cereal, slightly crushed
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
  • Heat oven to 375°. Spray bottom and sides of square baking dish (8x8x2 inches) or rectangular baking dish (11x7x11/2 inches) with cooking spray.
