Clinton TaeKwonDo Academy Students Raise $22,000 for Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center

Clinton TaeKwonDo Academy students and instructors presented Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center with a donation of $22,000 they raised from their Kick-a-Thon held on April 25th and Break-a-Thon held on May 17th. The students collected pledges “per kick” with a goal of doing several hundred kicks each.

Frank Paul, Owner and Chief Instructor of Clinton TaeKwonDo Academy and 4th Degree Black Belt, has a family history of cancer and is deeply dedicated to raising money for this important cause. “I’m well aware of how difficult it is to fight cancer and I’m really happy that we can make a difference for the patients at Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center. I’m particularly glad that we can have an impact in our own community,” says Paul.

The money raised from these two events will be donated to the Patient Care Fund at Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center and also help to purchase equipment for the cancer center.

Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center, a partner of Fox Chase Cancer Center, features comprehensive medical and radiation oncology services, early detection and screening programs, nutritional support, genetic counseling, psychosocial services, clinical research, education and support programs.

Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACOS) and was a past recipient of the ACOS Outstanding Achievement Award. This prestigious honor is awarded to cancer programs that achieve excellence in providing quality care to cancer patients. What this means is the residents of Hunterdon and surrounding counties can feel confident that they’re receiving excellent cancer care at Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center. In fact, long-term survival statistics for many cancers treated at Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center exceed state and national averages.
