The Hunterdon Orthopedic Institute has pledged $500,000 to the Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation, the single largest physician or physician group gift in the Medical Center’s history and one of the largest orthopedic group commitments ever made to any hospital or health care system in New Jersey.
The funds will be used to help underwrite Hunterdon Medical Center’s current expansion plans which include the construction of two new state-of-the-art operating rooms, a project slated to begin in 2010 that includes renovation and expansion of the surgical suite.
“Hunterdon Orthopedic Institute’s extremely generous contribution will help the Medical Center meet the complex challenges of 21st century medicine,” stated Hunterdon Healthcare’s President and CEO, Robert Wise.
“On behalf of my partners, Drs. Patrick M. Collalto, Robert C. More, Jennifer Tareco, and Michael Pollack, as well as Manish Viradia, we are proud to support the Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation,” stated Hunterdon Orthopedic Institute partner, Elliot Decker, M.D. “Without philanthropic support of the Foundation, Hunterdon Healthcare would have to curtail many of its plans for expansion and improvement: plans that will keep the facility at the leading edge of healthcare; plans that benefit fellow physicians’ patients, their families and friends, and the entire community; and plans that will help Hunterdon Medical Center maintain its position as the medical center of choice.”
Please join us in a toast all around to the generous physician partners of Hunterdon Orthopedic Institute.
