The Physical Therapy Department of Hunterdon Medical Center (HMC) has a new and spacious location at the Hunterdon Medical Pavilion, across the street from Hunterdon Medical Center.
“This new location is well
equipped with state-of-the-art
equipment to serve a varied
patient population,” says
physical therapist and athletic
trainer Lynn Van Ost. “It’s
a great facility to work out a
sports injury, but we also treat
patients with a range of disabilities
and injuries.”
Ms. Van Ost brings unique experience to the center, having worked with many Olympic athletes before and during the games in Barcelona (1992) and Atlanta (1996).
Ms. Van Ost is one of several skilled therapists at HMC’s five physical therapy facilities who provide personalized, hands-on care to their patients.
“Each of our patients receives a one-on-one evaluation and instruction in the use of appropriate equipment and follow-up exercises so they can safely continue their programs at home or at work,” she notes.
Regardless of your injury, Ms. Van Ost and her staff can help get you back in the game. “If you are generally a well person, we can get you back to your normal function,” Ms. Van Ost explains. “We coordinate your care with your orthopedic specialist or family practice physician.”
