Then send your partner to us. We can put up with even the loudest snoring for a night.
At the Sleep Disorders Center at Hunterdon Medical Center, our goal is to help you and your partner get a more restful – and healthier – night’s sleep. We monitor, evaluate and diagnose sleep disorders in our state-of-the-art sleep center. The process starts with an overnight stay in a comfortable room. As the patient sleeps, our team of experts evaluates him or her for sleep-related breathing and movement disorders.
The next morning, during a complimentary breakfast, our pulmonologists and sleep doctors provide a diagnosis and, if necessary, a treatment plan.
“Unfortunately, many patients assume that snoring and poor quality sleep are just a way of life but this is not the case,” says Tina Kerschner, RRT, BS, BA.
“Snoring, for example, can be a sign of a more serious condition, such as obstructive sleep apnea. A person with obstructive sleep apnea actually stops breathing for short periods of time during sleep.
“Furthermore, lack of sleep can decrease a person’s daytime productivity and increase his or her risk for car accidents and health problems.”
If you think you or your partner might have a sleep disorder, talk to your primary care physician. He or she can provide a referral. Call 908-788-6568 for more information.
