HBF received a $20,000 grant from Chiron Corporation to support its successful B Empowered program, which reaches out to a "welfare-to-work" audience of women who are at-risk for hepatitis B infection. The grant allows us to continues this educational program, and to now offer free HBV vaccination to the women and staff members at the Pennsylvania Bucks County Office of Employment and Training. The new expanded program will start in the fall and the Bucks County Department of Health will partner with us to purchase and administer the vaccine.
