The Hepatitis B Foundation is pleased to announce that five new distinguished researchers and clinicians have agreed to serve on our Scientific and Medical Advisory Board. These individuals are recognized as world thought leaders in the field of hepatitis B and have made valuable contributions to the science and medicine of chronic hepatitis B. They are also regular participants in our annual Princeton Workshop.
Robert Gish, M.D. – Medical Director, Liver Transplant Program at the California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco, CA.
William Mason, Ph.D. – Senior Member of Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Mason was the recipient of the HBF’s “Distinguished Scientist” Award in 1999.
Brian McMahon, M.D. – Scientific and Clinical Director, Liver Disease and Hepatitis Program at the Alaska Native Medical Center, Fairbanks, AK.
Bud Tennant, DVM - James Law Professor of Medicine, Gastrointestinal Unit, Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.
Raymond F. Schinazi, Ph.D. – Professor of Pediatrics and Chemistry, and Director of the Laboratory of Biochemical Pharmacology at Emory University. Dr. Schinazi was the recipient of the HBF’s “Distinguished Scientist” Award in 2006.
