“At Risk” Adults Successfully Targeted for HBV Education and Vaccination

More than 100 community members received free hepatitis B education and the three-shot hepatitis B vaccination series through a unique collaborative health initiative.

The Hepatitis B Foundation completed the first year of its B Empowered program at the Bucks County Office of Employment and Training (BCOET) for “at risk” adults. This program was made possible by partnering with BCOET and the Bucks County Department of Health which donated $5,000 in vaccine plus 40 hours of nurse staff time. More than 100 community members received free hepatitis B education and the three-shot hepatitis B vaccination series through this unique collaborative health initiative.
