Resource Center Helps Diabetics

The Diabetes Resource Center at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center helps people with diabetes live an active lifestyle while managing their disease.

 

The Diabetes Resource Center at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center helps people with diabetes live an active lifestyle while managing their disease.

The center provides individual counseling sessions for nutrition, medication use and blood sugar testing and offers education and support for both diabetics and their families. A fivesession self-management program teaches patients about the disease; ways to treat it through medicine, diet and exercise; and shares skills to cope with diabetes and manage stress. Diabetics have access to an individually designed exercise program at
CarePlex Outpatient Center
at 81 Robinson St., Pottstown.
