Diabetic Recipe - Heart Healthy Recipe

Make this muesli on Sunday, and enjoy it every morning, all week long.

Yield: 6 servings

This recipe is heart healthy. This recipe is diabetes friendly.

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup whole raw almonds, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 2 cups spring water
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 2 ea. Granny Smith apples, peeled and grated
  • Combine oats, almonds and water in a large mixing bowl. Add all other ingredients. Mix well. Refrigerate overnight

    Consistency can be checked after one hour. Add more water if necessary

    Adjust sweetness or tartness by adding honey or lemon juice.
