Pico de Gallo Recipe

Fresh Pico de Gallo is a great topping for nachos, fish or chicken. It has only 10 calories per serving and is loaded with antioxidants and delicious flavor.

Yield: 8 servings (1/4 cup each)

Pico de Gallo Recipe

  • 1 1/2 cups tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced
  • 2 jalapenos, seeded and diced small
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • juice of 2 limes
  • 2 Tbsp chopped cilantro (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Add all ingredients together in a bowl, allow flavors to mix in refrigerator for at least one hour before serving. Serve with assorted whole grain tortilla chips or use as a topping to your favorite Mexican dish or even a salad.
