Exercise-Induced Weight Loss Prevents Bone Loss

Studies show weight loss caused by exercise may prevent bone loss.

Exercise-Induced Weight Loss Prevents Bone Loss

This study tested the hypothesis that exercise-induced (EX) weight loss is associated with less bone loss, compared with calorie restrictioninduced (CR) weight loss. Findings suggest that EX should be an important component of a weight-loss program to offset bone loss resulting from CR alone.
