Citrus Dressing & White Wine Vinaigrette

These homemade dressings are light and tasty and low in calories compared to store-bought dressings. Drizzle them over your favorite salad greens or serve them as a dip with fresh vegetables.

Citrus Dressing

  • 2 Tbs. olive oil
  • 2 Tbs. orange juice
  • 2 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • Combine all ingredients in a small jar and shake to blend.

    Nutritional Information:(per tablespoon)Calories: 45; Protein: 0gm; Carbohydrate: 1gm; Fat: 5gms; Cholesterol: 0gm; Sodium: 85mgs

    White Wine Vinaigrette

  • 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. white wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. apple juice
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 tbs. vegetable oil
  • Put mustard, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Add a small amount of the vinegar and whisk together until the mustard is evenly mixed in. Gradually whisk in the remaining vinegar, juice, and oils. Taste and adjust if desired. Note: Vinegars vary in their strength. You may want to add more juice or vinegar to correct the acidity if desired.
