Localized posts about community and care are blended with videos, heart-healthy recipes and white-labeled wellness tips from Baldwin Publishing
Retail pharmacy group American Pharmacy Cooperative, Inc. (APCI), representing 1,600 independent pharmacies across 31 states, is expanding its Facebook strategy to help local pharmacies stand out against national chains. By posting every day about community health, personalized care, wellness tips or healthy recipes, APCI intends to put a local pharmacy at the top of every neighborhood newsfeed.
To implement a daily Facebook strategy, the APCI marketing team needed more health and wellness content. Baldwin Publishing solved APCI’s content shortage, delivery “turn-key” health posts that APCI can customize for each neighborhood pharmacy.
By partnering with Baldwin, APCI’s marketing team now has access to a massive library of white-labeled social media content, including:
- 2,000+ Practical Health Tips: Easy-to-understand advice and facts for everyday wellness.
- Hundreds of Heart-Healthy Recipes: Dietitian-approved videos and recipes from Health eCooks.
- Engagement Tools: Short-form social media videos, wellness graphics and an interactive Health Awareness calendar.
“Now that APCI has access to Baldwin Publishing’s extensive content library, member pharmacies can increase posting frequency to seven times per week,” said Danny Slade, Marketing Director at APCI. “This initiative is about delivering relevant, easy-to-understand advice on the benefits of healthy eating, home cooking, exercise and healthy habits that reinforces the trusted role neighborhood pharmacies play in community health.”
In a competitive landscape dominated by national drugstore chains, local APCI pharmacies are starting to find their edge not through massive ad budgets, but through consistent, digital neighborliness. Slade said expanding each pharmacy’s Facebook presence will help differentiate independent pharmacies from national chains by emphasizing personal attention and local community health.
“We hear from many healthcare organizations like APCI that want to post more frequently, but they need more social media content to do it,” says Baldwin Publishing CEO Toni Donina. “By ramping up each pharmacy’s Facebook presence with daily health tips and neighborhood news, APCI independent pharmacies are becoming friendly, trusted local health news hubs in each community.”
